Anyway, let me show you the good deals from today! Look at this huge stack of toilet paper:
I was floored when I saw the deal on Scott toilet paper at Rite Aid this week. God takes such good care of us, doesn't He? Between coupons and the Single Check Rebate, each 12-pack of toilet paper will end up costing $3.38, including tax. (ETA: Actually, I just discovered that there is no tax on toilet paper here. That means the cost per pack is down to $2.49!!) I have never, ever gotten it that cheap before. And even better yet, this should last us about a year, maybe more. (And yes, it all fit into my bathroom closet!)
In case you're interested how that works, here's what I did:
Transaction #1: 3 packs toilet paper @ $7.49 each + $2.69 Crest toothpaste - $5/25 coupon
Transaction #2: 4 packs toilet paper @ $7.49 each - $5/25 coupon
Then I submit it for the Single Check Rebate and get $2.69 back for the toothpaste and a $25 gift card to Rite Aid for buying the toilet paper ($25 back when you buy $50 worth). Of course, that gift card is going to purchase more "free after rebate" items and end up right back in my pocket. :)
So take a peek at the other good deals I found:
Rite Aid (in addition to the toilet paper above):
- Remington Microflex electric razor (reg. $49.99) - on clearance for $12.50 (cheaper than buying new heads for the one my husband already has)
- Crest Pro-Health toothpaste - FREE after rebate
Walgreens/Happy Harry's
- 5 packs (10/pk) sheet protectors - $0.39 each
- 2 Sharpie markers - $0.50 each w/store coupon
- gallon milk - $2.59 (almost unheard-of around here!)
Staples
- 2 packs (10/pk) pencils - $0.01 each
- 1 pack (2/pk) Wite-Out - $0.50 after sale and coupon
- 2 packs copy paper - $0.01 each after rebate
Big Lots
- Martha Stewart 2-pk bird wood-mount stamps - $1.00
- 2 spools gorgeous ribbon for cards (10 and 20 yds each) - $1.00 each
- Keebler graham crackers - $1.50
Super Fresh
- 4 bags Doritos - $0.74 each after coupons (from Super Bowl "rebate")
- not shown: 2 cuts (3 lbs each) of bottom round roast at $1.49/lb!
I also stopped in at a few thrift stores looking for a bookcase for my husband. I didn't find a bookcase, but I did find a MegaBlocks bank/armored card set (originally $20) with the pieces still in their unsealed packages, for $5. It doesn't have the instructions that I can tell, but I think we can figure it out. I didn't take a picture of it because I had to immediately hide it from my little guy, since I'm hoping to save it for a gift-giving occasion. :)

I have been reading some of your blog and you sound just like me. I usually shop out of season etc. and get really good buys. I rarely pay full ticket price on anything. You go girl!
